Join a six person crew to make lasting improvements to the Embudo Valley Library grounds. This crew will rebuild a rock wall and install irrigation infrastructure and landscaping on the Embudo Valley Library property. The crew will also take classes in library skills, life and job skills, wildlife ecology and pollinator habitat, orchard care and maintenance, and basic wildland firefighting.
Timeline: Full time from June 6-August 5, 2016, with an additional required course in October 2016.
• 15-25 years old with a strong work ethic. Age 15+ to be a crew member, age 18+ to be the crew leader.
• Ability to work outside all day doing demanding physical labor: shoveling, digging, trenching, lifting up to 60 pounds, and working on your knees.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude as a representative of Embudo Valley Library and NMYCC.
