Groundbreaking for new Library Building was held May 1st.

The groundbreaking for the new Library was held on May 1st at 1:30 PM behind the Library.
The celebration began with a spirited may pole executed by the Dixon Rattlesnakes. Music was provided by Los Coyotes de Cañoncito.

The ceremony which followed was attended by more than fifty people including the building contractor, government officials and representatives of various foundations providing funding for the project.
After preliminary words by library board members and staff, the dignitaries took up their hardhats and shovels and broke ground for the new building.
Construction is underway!
